LS security breach: Speaker assures high-level probe

On Monday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla assured opposition leaders of a thorough investigation by a high-level committee into the breach of Parliament. However, the House faced disruptions and protests from the opposition, demanding a statement from Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security lapse. Eventually, the proceedings were adjourned till noon. Speaker Om Birla briefed the House on the actions taken by the Lok Sabha secretariat in response to the security breach on December 13.
