IIT-Madras concludes Phase I of Campus Placements

IIT Madras successfully completed Phase I of placement despite challenges posed by cyclone Michaung. The first day of placements marked a milestone with a record number of offers. In 2023, IIT Madras was ranked first in India overall and in the engineering category by NIRF. Phase I saw an increase in hiring from the Core sector and a rise in international offers for postgraduate students. The median salary of all offers was over Rs 19 lakh. The placement process emphasized equity and inclusivity, with 55% of placed students from challenging backgrounds. IIT Madras invites organizations for Phase II of placements.
