Israel-linked hackers launch cyberattack against Iran

By on December 18, 2023 0 21 Views

A hacking group with reported ties to Israel, known as “Gonjeshke Darande” or “predatory sparrow”, has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack that paralyzed gas stations in Iran. The group targeted Iran’s national fuel supply system as a response to perceived aggression by the Islamic Republic and its regional proxies against Tel Aviv. Iranian state media confirmed that several gas stations in Tehran ceased operations due to the attack. This follows previous cyberattacks by the same group targeting major steel companies in Iran. Tensions in the region have been heightened with increased attacks against Israel by Iran-backed proxies.
