Indian startups lay off over 28,000 employees in 2023

New-economy companies in India have laid off over 28,000 employees in the first three quarters of 2023 as a result of major restructuring to conserve cash and prioritize essential operations. The layoffs have been significantly higher compared to the aggressive hiring seen in 2021.
