EPFO will no longer accept Aadhaar to verify date of birth

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has said it will no longer use Aadhaar as a valid document to verify date of birth, in line with a directive to this effect by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). EPFO’s Jan 16 circular said it has also removed Aadhaar from the list of documents that will be considered valid for rectifying birth date errors.
