Bastar’s 600-yr-old people’s parl tradition on display for R-Day

Chhattisgarh’s tableau on Republic Day will showcase the ‘Muria Darbar’, a 600-year-old tribal tradition of a peoples’ parliament. The tableau highlights the equal participation of men and women in decision-making, reflecting the women-dominant nature of the Bastar tribal community. The tableau is themed “Bastar Ki Aadim Jan Sansad: Muria Darbar”.
