Budget: Rural employment guarantee may get 47% boost

In the upcoming budget for FY2025, the government is expected to increase funds for the rural employment guarantee scheme by 47%, reaching around Rs 88,000 crore. The rural development ministry proposed Rs 1.1 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2025, and the government has already approved an additional Rs 14,524 crore for the current fiscal year.
