Kharge writes to Shah over Rahul’s security concerns in Assam

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed concerns to Union home minister Amit Shah about security lapses faced by Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Assam. He accused Assam Police of being silent spectators and requested intervention to prevent untoward incidents endangering Gandhi’s safety. The letter noted that despite there being ample evidence, neither arrests were made, nor probe initiated.
