DA case: ‘Assets in her name doesn’t make wife accused’

Orissa high court ruled that a man’s wife cannot be accused of possessing disproportionate assets solely because assets are in her name. The court quashed the case against the wife in a corruption case due to lack of evidence and rejected the analogy of prosecuting every family member. She challenged the proceedings initiated against her for alleged abetment of the offence committed by her husband.
