MP: Setback to Congress in Chhindwara region as party’s 3-term MLA joins BJP

The Congress in Madhya Pradesh faced a setback as its three-term MLA from Amarwara in Chhindwara district joined to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday. Chhindwara, stronghold of senior Congress leader and former state chief minister Kamal Nath, was the sole seat won by the party in the state during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
