You asked, you pay: SC to Navlakha on Rs 1.6 crore security bill

The National Investigation Agency charged Gautam Navlakha ₹1.64 crore for house arrest in the Elgar Parishad case. The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that Navlakha must pay the amount and gave him one week to decide how to reimburse the agency. The funds were spent to provide police personnel for his security during his home detention.
