No Cong candidate from Surat?: Kumbhani’s nomination rejected

Returning officer Sourabh Pardhi cited prima facie irregularities in the signatures of the proposers as the reason for rejecting the four nomination forms submitted by Kumbhani and Padsala. The proposers, in their sworn affidavits, denied signing the forms themselves, leading to the rejection of the nominations, as per Pardhi’s order. Congress party’s legal representative, Babu Mangukiya, confirmed the rejection, stating that the proposers disclaimed the signatures on the forms.
