GST Council meet may not look at online gaming tax

The GST Council meeting, chaired by union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will address immediate business needs, clarify issues like extra neutral alcohol (ENA), and prioritize legal amendments for the Finance Bill. The meeting will exclude reviewing levies on online gaming and casinos despite lobbying efforts. Sitharaman plans to present her tax proposals in the upcoming Budget next month.
