A man and his manager in India have cheated 178 youths out of Rs 2.3 crore ($322,000) by promising them jobs in Canada. The victims were asked to pay for visas and other documents, and were sent offer letters and air tickets that turned out to be forged. When they visited the Canadian embassy, they discovered the scam. An FIR has been registered against the accused under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
