Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation flogs dead horse, tries to retrofit Hatkeshwar flyover

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is inviting tenders worth Rs 24.8 crore to retrofit and reconstruct the Hatkeshwar flyover, despite three major labs concluding that it needs to be demolished. The labs found that the concrete quality of the flyover is extremely poor and does not meet safety standards. The decision to retrofit the flyover has raised concerns among experts and the public.
