An 80-year-old man in Chennai was attacked by a stray cow near Parthasarathy Temple in Triplicane. The man, who has speech and hearing difficulties, was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The incident prompted the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) to intensify its drive against stray cattle in the area. The GCC commissioner stated that they may have to ban cows in the city and only allow them in suburbs with sufficient space. The GCC has already caught over 170 cows this month alone.
