All in the family at this polling booth in MP

To save a village in Madhya Pradesh from a 55km trek to the nearest polling booth, the Election Commission has created the state’s smallest polling booth for 44 voters who are all relatives. The village, Sonewani, is located in a Maoist-affected region and previously had to walk 20km to cast their votes. With rivers flooded this year, the trek would have been much longer. The local school, which has only seven students, has been converted into a booth so that the villagers can vote in their own village.
