Amazon will again invest billions in Anthropic but on one condition

Amazon considers a second multi-billion dollar investment in Anthropic, an AI startup rivaling OpenAI. The deal hinges on Anthropic utilizing Amazon’s in-house AI chips for its operations. Anthropic, however, favors Nvidia-equipped servers, potentially impacting the investment’s size. This follows a previous $4 billion investment from Amazon and partnerships with Google and US defense agencies.
