Ambulances attend to 81 on first day of World Cup
During the opening match of the ICC Men’s World Cup between England and New Zealand, 81 patients were attended to by EMRI 108 ambulances, with no serious emergencies reported. Additional ambulances were deployed near the Narendra Modi Stadium due to the large number of visitors and changing weather. The patients treated included cases of body pain, headache, fainting, weakness, fever, blood pressure fluctuations, falls, and other categories. The number of ambulances deployed is determined based on coordination with the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) and city police. Spectators are advised to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the weather.
