Bankrupt Gujarat mill’s land sold after 35yrs, but 60% of workers died waiting for dues

After a 35-year legal battle, Gujarat High Court approved the Rs 82 crore sale of 58,000 square yards of Aryoday Spinning & Weaving Mills land in Ahmedabad. Devbhoomi Agrifresh Pvt Ltd won the bid amid raised objections. Only Rs 55 lakh has been disbursed to the mill’s workers since 1989, with 60% deceased.
