Bengaluru: Breathe easy! Govt set to fast-track work to redeem Panathur of woes

Citizens and the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) have joined forces to address the traffic issues in the Panathur suburb of Bengaluru. The BBMP is fast-tracking the resolution of infrastructure problems, including decongesting the area and developing alternative roads. However, there are legal hurdles in acquiring properties necessary for road widening, delaying the process. Plans are in place to directly notify and acquire the properties, but this may take time and require permission and funding from the government. Elected representatives suggest involving private builders in a public-private partnership model to expedite development.
