Bengaluru Metro commences operations on two Purple Line sections

The long-awaited Metro Rail services on two sections of the Purple Line in Bengaluru have finally commenced their operations. The sections open to the public are from Baiyapanahalli to KR Puram and Kengri to Challaghatta, completing the East-West corridor. With these additions, the operational network of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited expands to 73.81 km with a total of 66 metro stations. The Metro Rail services on these sections will greatly ease travel and provide a convenient mode of transportation.
