Bowling for glory, now on the lanes

Sabeena Saleem, a 55-year-old grandmother, has won her 13th national bowling title in India. With 12 runner-up finishes, she has made it to the finals an incredible 25 times, making her one of the most inspiring sportspersons in recent times. Sabeena, who started playing in 1999, competed against men to improve her game and now dominates women’s bowling in the country. Despite facing niggling injuries, she is determined to continue competing and hopes to represent India at the World Championships.
