Canada raises bar, adds checks for int’l students
Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Marc Miller, has announced measures to protect international students and strengthen the integrity of the international student program. These measures include verifying acceptance letters from educational institutions and adopting a ‘recognized institution’ framework for post-secondary Designated Learning Institutions. The aim is to ensure that study permits are issued only against genuine acceptance letters and to provide better services and support for international students.
