Caretaker PM admits military influence to continue in Pakistan’s polity

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar of Pakistan has acknowledged that the military will continue to play a significant role in politics unless the country’s civic institutions are strengthened. In an interview with TRT World, Kakar stated that civilian institutions in Pakistan have performed poorly in areas such as healthcare, education, disaster management, and tax revenue collection, leaving the military as the only capable institution.
