Caste census in Raj in Cong’s next term: CM

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has announced that the state will conduct a caste census similar to Bihar in order to develop targeted welfare programs. However, he stated that this can only happen if his party is re-elected. The decision is in line with the party’s Raipur declaration and comes after demands from major caste groups in Rajasthan for a caste census and increased reservation according to population. The Congress party is also planning a booth-level campaign and rallies by national leaders for the upcoming Assembly election.
