Army, IAF set to buy 156 more ‘Prachand’ light combat copters

The Indian Army and Indian Air Force have finalized a plan to order 156 more indigenous ‘Prachand’ light combat helicopters from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. The helicopters are capable of offensive operations in high-altitude areas like Siachen Glacier and eastern Ladakh. The Army will receive 90 helicopters, while the IAF will receive 66.
