Chhattisgarh assembly polls: Why did you insult my father’s sacrifice, slain BJP MLA’s daughter asks party

Deepa Mandavi, daughter of BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi who was assassinated by Maoists, has expressed her anguish at the party for not giving the Dantewada assembly ticket to her mother, Ojaswi Mandavi. Ojaswi had contested in the bypoll following her husband’s death but lost to Congress’s Devati Karma. Deepa questions the value of her father’s sacrifice and asks why her mother was overlooked in ticket distribution. She wants the BJP leaders to explain their actions and says that her mother wants to fulfill her father’s dreams and commitments to the people of Dantewada.
