China to host Belt and Road forum in Beijing Oct 17-18

China will be hosting its third Belt and Road Forum next week, with President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin expected to attend. The conference, which marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, will have representatives from developing countries attending. Putin’s attendance is notable as it will be his first trip abroad since the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for him in March.
