Connection between food insecurity, rate of severe hypoglycaemia in adults with diabetes: Study

New research presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting reveals that severe hypoglycemia is more than twice as likely among people with diabetes who struggle to purchase meals. The study found that severe hypoglycemia was 2.2 times more frequent in individuals experiencing food insecurity.
