Conviction of ISRO scientists behind Chandrayaan-3 mission ‘simply amazing’: Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar commended the scientists behind India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, praising their unwavering conviction. Speaking at a gathering of Indian-Americans, Jaishankar recounted the events leading up to the successful moon landing on August 23. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s involvement and support throughout the mission, including speaking to the ISRO team virtually from South Africa. Jaishankar was impressed by the scientists’ confidence and described their conviction as “simply amazing.” With this achievement, India joined the US, China, and the former Soviet Union as the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the Moon.
