Cops file case against CISF asst commandant

A gold smuggling racket operating at Calicut International Airport has been uncovered by the police. The racket allegedly involved the connivance of an assistant commandant of the CISF and a customs officer. The police found evidence of the smuggling operation when they arrested carriers arriving from Jeddah with smuggled gold. The investigation revealed that the racket had been smuggling gold through the airport for the past two months. The police also discovered evidence of money transactions made to the assistant commandant for aiding the smuggling operation.
