Cops prepare elaborate plan to manage traffic for ICC matches
The Lucknow police have planned measures to ensure smooth traffic flow during the ICC cricket world cup matches at the Ekana stadium. This includes the installation of 11 parking stands, a color-coded map of the stadium, and online ticket sales to reduce pressure at entry gates. Physical ticket counters will not be allowed outside the stadium. Additionally, a police force of 2,500 will be dedicated to managing traffic and maintaining law and order. The police have studied the Eden Gardens cricket stadium in Kolkata to learn from their experience in organizing international matches.
