Covid numbers drop to lowest since initial weeks of pandemic

India logged 5,420 fresh cases last week (November 7-13), the lowest since April 6-12, 2020, two weeks after the first lockdown in the country. For the first time since that week in 2020, the daily average of new cases was below 1,000, as per TOI’s Covid database.
