Crossing glaciers and fjords: Norwegian reindeer migrate for winter

By on October 1, 2023 0 8 Views

A herd of reindeer in Norway’s far north is documented on their migration from their summer to winter grazing grounds. The indigenous Sami reindeer herders follow the animals on quad bikes, on foot, or by boat, guiding them through obstacles such as glaciers and fjords. The reindeer swim in a synchronized manner to cross the water and complete their journey to their winter pasture in Kautokeino.
