The Delhi government is planning to extend the existing electric vehicle (EV) policy for another six months as the new policy is not yet finalized. The transport minister, Kailash Gahlot, stated that a cabinet note is being prepared and the existing policy will be extended until the new one is notified. The number of EVs registered in Delhi has been increasing, and the government aims to have over 200,000 EVs in the city by 2023-24. The Delhi government is actively promoting EV penetration and infrastructure in the country.
