Delhi LG approves prosecution of Arundhati Roy in 2010 case

Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena has given approval for the prosecution of author Arundhati Roy and a former Kashmiri professor in connection with a 2010 case involving alleged provocative speeches. The FIR against Roy and Sheikh Showkat Hussain was filed following orders from the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate. The charges include promoting enmity between different groups, making assertions prejudicial to national integration, and making statements that could cause public mischief.
