Delhi Metro extends WhatsApp ticketing to entire network

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has extended the option to purchase QR-based tickets through WhatsApp to its entire network. Previously, this service was only available on the Airport Express Line. Commuters can now simply message a ‘Hi’ to a designated WhatsApp number or scan a QR code to buy tickets using their smartphones. The user-friendly chatbot is available in both English and Hindi. A maximum of six QR tickets can be generated in a single attempt, and ticket cancellations are not allowed. A convenience fee may be charged for credit/debit card transactions.
