Dengue kills 26-year-old, is second victim in three days

The city of Ahmedabad in India is grappling with a surge in dengue cases. Over the past 38 days, 818 cases have been reported across 150 hospitals. The worst-affected areas are those near the SP Ring Road and where construction is taking place. Gota and Ramol-Hathijan are the wards with the highest number of cases. Health officials are facing challenges in controlling the spread, including water accumulation on rooftops in some areas. In total, 3,104 cases were reported in 2021, while 2,538 cases have been reported so far in 2022.
