Deoria fallout: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath suspends 15 officials

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has suspended 15 officials, including an SDM and a deputy superintendent of police, for their negligence in resolving a land dispute that led to six deaths. The suspended officials had received several complaints about illegal encroachment of gram sabha land but failed to take appropriate action. Yogi Adityanath has ordered departmental action against eight other officials. He has also instructed officials to prioritize the resolution of land disputes and warned that they will be held accountable for any incidents in their jurisdictions.
