Direct impact of Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress on victory in Ladakh council polls

The Congress party has claimed that its success in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) elections is a result of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. The party has won several seats, leading to a wipeout of the BJP. Congress leaders have expressed their confidence that this victory will bring about a new era of democracy in Ladakh and Kargil. The National Conference and Congress together secured 22 seats in the LAHDC polls, the first to be held after Ladakh became a Union territory.
