EAM S Jaishankar participates in 23rd Council of Ministers meeting of Indian Ocean Rim Association in Colombo

India participated in the 23rd Council of Ministers (COM) meeting and the 25th Committee of Senior Officials of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. India assumed the role of Vice Chair of IORA for 2023-25 and will be the Chairman for 2025-27. The meeting focused on reviewing IORA’s ongoing and future work, and various agreements were exchanged between India and Sri Lanka, including the Indian Housing Project and the dairy sector. The IORA aims to promote regional cooperation and sustainable development in the Indian Ocean region.
