Excise probe: ED arrests AAP MP Sanjay Singh

AAP MP Sanjay Singh has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy probe. This development implicates the AAP leadership in alleged corruption in the distribution of liquor vends by the Arvind Kejriwal government. Singh’s arrest comes after a daylong search of his residence and other premises. He is expected to appear before a special court on Thursday. Singh claims that his arrest is politically motivated, while the AAP accuses the BJP of frustration ahead of the 2024 elections. Singh is the second AAP leader to be jailed in this case after deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
