Eye on Russia: UK to deploy 20K troops to northern Europe

Britain has committed to sending 20,000 troops, eight warships, and helicopters to northern Europe to deter Russia and protect undersea cables. This pledge was made by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at a summit of the 10-nation Joint Expeditionary Force, which aims to detect and deter threats in the region. The UK’s contribution will include participation in NATO’s Exercise Steadfast Defender.
