Between August 22 and September 5, seven leopard cubs at Bannerghatta National Park died from the Feline panleukopenia virus. The cubs, which were initially wild and rescued, were between three and ten months old. The park had recently started a leopard safari tour and housed a total of nine cubs, three of which died from the virus. The park authorities have implemented measures to prevent further spread of the infection, including sanitization and vaccination efforts.
