FIR on five for linking Congress nominee to 1993 case convict

Mira Road police have filed a case against five individuals and social media accounts for spreading false information linking Congress candidate Muzaffar Hussain to terrorist groups. The fabricated documents, circulated online, falsely claimed Hussain’s support for a mercy plea of a 1993 blasts convict. The accused face charges for inciting religious disharmony and violating electoral laws.
