Fugitive drug haul undertrial’s brother, aide held near Barabanki

The brother and aide of a fugitive drug haul undertrial, Lalit Patil, were apprehended near Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh by a Pune crime branch team. Patil had escaped from a hospital where he was undergoing treatment and his brother and aide were on the run since then. The police hope to gather important information about Patil’s whereabouts through their interrogation. The state president of the Sharad Pawar camp also expressed confidence that the party belongs to Sharad Pawar and stated that people will not tolerate any unfavorable verdict by the Election Commission.
