Garbage to be cleaned in 24 hours: Patna Municipal Corporation

Contractual sanitation workers in Patna have returned to work after a 14-day strike, bringing relief to residents who were dealing with piles of garbage across the city. The strike had caused inconvenience and health concerns for residents, with the spread of diseases like dengue being a particular worry. Residents had resorted to hiring private sweepers to clean up the garbage. The city’s additional municipal commissioner assured that the garbage situation would be back to normal by the end of Friday. The strike was called off after talks between municipal officials and union leaders.
