GEF to invest Rs 600 crore in its first oil refining, oilseed crushing project in Telangana

Gemini Edibles & Fats India Ltd is investing Rs 600 crore to set up a multi-oil refinery and edible oil seeds crushing facility near Hyderabad. The project will be developed in two phases and is expected to commence production by 2025-26. The refinery will receive an investment of Rs 400 crore, while the crushing unit will receive Rs 200 crore. The project aims to produce oils such as rice bran, cotton seed, and sunflower, and is expected to create jobs for around 1,000 people.
