Goat Valley to enhance livestock farming in Terai region

Goat Valley, located in the Terai region of India, is set to provide free goat sheds to farmers in Udham Singh Nagar district. The project aims to distribute 16 goats to each of the 107 selected animal farmers, resulting in a total of 1,712 goats within Goat Valley. This initiative is expected to promote goat milk and meat production and stimulate the local economy through increased goat farming activities. Some beneficiaries have received loans from the state government to purchase goats, and the department will provide them with improved breed goats at a 90% subsidy.
